Today, the increase of global warming has made humans and nature difficult to live comfortably. Human activities damage the ecology and create global warming as the consequence. Humans exploit natural resources at the expense of the sustainability of nature. To respond to that ecological problem, this article draws forth the Sumba local wisdom embedded in the culture of the community for ages. The aim is to construct a contextual theological perspective promoting an equal relationship between humans and nature based on justice, love, and solidarity instead of domination and exploitation.
