An AC (alternating current) generator and a multi‐electrode probe (MEP) were used for field measurement of bulk‐soil electrical conductivity (EC a ). The MEP enabled unlimited, repeated, fast measurements of EC a at a certain spot. The MEP was operated by a portable, inexpensive, sine‐wave AC generator for obtaining EC a values based on the four‐electrode method.
