Curling Inhibition of Clays Mounted on Slides for X‐Ray Diffraction Analysis

A method is proposed which effectively inhibits curling of clay specimens on slides used for X‐ray diffraction. Glass wool is broken into short lengths and mixed with the clay suspension before drying. Heat treatments and K‐saturation can be performed without curling and loss of the sample.
