Self‐diffusion coefficients of selected herbicides were measured in aqueous solution by the capillary tube method. The diffusion coefficients were approximately 0.6 × 10 ‐5 cm 2 /sec at 23C and were not particularly related to the configuration of the herbicide molecule. Values calculated for the transmission factors of these herbicides differed with the more mobile compounds being associated with the higher values.
