An improved construction method for platinum microelectrodes is described. The body of the electrode is completely encased in polyester casting resin. Electrodes constructed by this method are essentially leakproof and are especially suited for use in wet or waterlogged soils. Measurements obtained from this type of microelectrode are compared with others.
