This paper reports data collected to relate some soil‐micro‐climate interactions. The environmental parameters examined were solar and scattered radiation evapotranspiration, calcium carbonate equivalent, organic matter, and particle size distribution. The data show a strong interaction between slope aspect or direction of exposure and soil properties. The need for careful observation of soil properties below the soil surface in selecting research sites is apparent.
