The solubility constant for ZnSiO 3 reported in the literature is based on invalid thermodynamic data. The agreement between Zn 2+ concentrations in some soils and the invalid solubility constant for ZnSiO 3 is coincidental. The presence of this compound in soils is very unlikely.
