There are several methods of ueing aerial photographs as an aid in soil mapping, each having its own special merits and advantages. There seems to be no one outstanding method that is best adapted to meet the requirements of all soil mapping conditions. It is, therefore, advisable before any mapping project is undertaken to study the character of country to be mapped and then formulate a method of using the pictures that will best suit the conditions of the area.
