Lr32, a gene for resistance to leaf rust ( Puccinia recondite Rob. ex. Desm.) previously transferred to hexaploid wheat ( Triticum aestivum L.) from Triticum tauschii (Coss.) Schmal. and known to be associated with chromosome 3D, was located on the short arm of this chromosome, 26.8 ± 4.0 crossover units from the centromere. Male transmission of telocentric 3DS in competition with complete 3D was 23.2%.
