A combine‐height sorghum ( Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) selection from SC 102‐9 gave tall F 1 'S when crossed to lines dominant for the height genes Dw 2 Dw 3 or Dw 4 . Appropriate test crosses indicated that the line was the first recorded instance of the height genotype Dw 1 Dw 1 dw 2 dw 2 dw 3 dw 3 dw 4 dw 4 . It can be used for genetic studies and for classification of parents for proper use in either grain or forage sorghum hybrids.
