A fast method of weighing grain samples and analyzing yield data immediately in the field was devised. Fewer people are required for the harvest operation, and with instantaneous analysis of the data, decisions can be made as to what material should be advanced for further testing. For off‐station testing, such information is valuable in reducing the number of samples brought back to the main station for further tests. The system provides accurate and timely data acquisition and effects a very significant savings in labor costs.
