Cold hardiness, fresh weight, dry weight, and water content were determined for cold acclimated crowns of 44 strains representing Triticum boeoticum Boiss., T. urartu Tum., T. tauschii (Coss.) $chmal., T. timopheevii (Zhuk) Zhuk. var. araraticum Jakubz., T. turgidum L. var. turgidum, T. turgidum L. var. durum, T. turgidum L. var. dicoccoides (Korn) Bowden, T. aestivum L. and Secale cereale L. Significant differences due to strains and species were observed for all variables. Correlation coefficients based on these differences were significant for all comparisons except cold hardiness with fresh weight.
