Resistance to anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum trifolii Bain in a cross of susceptible ✕ resistant plants in alfalfa ( Medicago sativa L.) was conditioned by a completely dominant gene inherited in a tetrasomic manner. The symbol AR was suggested for the dominant allele and ar for the recessive. S 1 , F 1 , F 2 , F 3 , and backcross progenies were used in the study.
