Safflower ( Carthamns tinctorius L.) plant introductions were tested for resistance to Verticillium wilt ( Verticillium albo‐atrum Reinke and Berth.) in a Verticilliuminfested field near Visalia, California. Of the many introductions tested, 48 were highly resistant to the disease. Small quantities of seed from each resistant introduction are available upon request.
