Several new herbicides, alone and in combination, have been tested for use as preemergence treatments in spring grains. The lnost consistent combination, for the control of grass and broadleaf weeds and no crop injury, has been 2‐chloro‐ N ‐isopropylacetanilide (propachlor) at 3.36 kg/ha and 3,6‐dichloro‐o‐anisic acid (dicamba) at .28 kg/ha.
