A new chlorophyll mutant in alfalfa controlled by a single recessive tetrasomic gene was studied. Homozygous recessive plants were chlorotic at 10C but normal at 27C. Viability of the plants was good at temperatures of 18C or above and classification was easy at temperatures below 20C.
