Spaced plants of orchardgrass, from different accessions, were subjected to six different managements, involving combinations of two cutting regimes and three levels of nitrogen fertility. Accession means and intraaccession variances for vigor ratings, heading date, bloom date, plant height, percent leaf, and number of leaves per stem were calculated and analyzed. Level of nitrogen had little effect on means or variances nor was there a consistent accession ✕ nitrogen interaction. The accession ✕ cutting regimes interaction appeared to be unimportant.
