Pseudo‐self‐compatibilities (PSC) of 6 I 0 clones of red clover, Trifolium pratense L., and of their 15 F 1 progenies establishes transmission of PSC from parent clones to progenies. Sterility‐allele genotypes occurred in abnormal ratios, and differed significantly for mean PSC, in two of the three F 1 progenies involving the 6 I 0 clones as parents. Two I 1 progenies, selected on the basis of previously accumulated sterility‐allele segregation data, gave a better fit to a 1:1 (selective fertilization) than to a 1:2 (zygotic lethal) ratio for sterility‐allele genotype.
