Four lines were established in the sorghum variety ‘Wheatland,’ each homozygous for a separate mutation from dw 2 to Dw 3 . A replicated planting of these mutants and three normal Wheatland plants was made to study the effect of the Bw 3 allele on the length of the various internodes among otherwise isogenic lines. Internodes one and five were most effected and internode three least effected by the Dw 3 allele.
