Ten discrete morphologic stages and several growth parameters were described for ladino clover leaves, Trifolium repens L. These developmental stages were used to measure day‐to‐day growth in response to environment or management. More important, they provide a precise morphologic description of plant development at the time physiologic treatments were imposed.
