Many specialized experimental plot planters have been developed but they are usually expensive and have limited use. This note describes seeding equipment for experimental plots developed by modifying conventional farm implements. The equipment provides the benefits of uniform soil compaction, single cone seeder with distribution to multiple rows, and enclosed cab for seeding during inclement weather. The equipment is adaptable for seeding isolation seed production blocks, large plots for agronomic studies, or variety trials of small grains, grasses, and legumes.
