Projected transparencies have proven a highly effective teaching aid in several agronomy courses but have had the disadvantage of being difficult to review as compared to lecture material. To overcome this problem, a T‐S‐T program was developed in which students can, at their convenience, review transparencies with accompanying narration from a tape recorder. The benefit to students was measured by comparing results of tests given with and without use of the T‐S‐T program. The mean score improved by 9.3 points which was significant at p = .05.
