Synopsis Giant bermudagrass yielded no more forage than common bermudagrass and only about 55% as much as Coastal bermudagrass whether cut weekly or at five‐week intervals. Giant bermudagrass was inferior to common bermudagrass as a turf grass. It gradually gave way to common bermudagrass when mowed but had not been eliminated after two years of very close, weekly mowing.
