Synopsis Highly significant r values of −0.846 in 1962 and −0.825 in 1963 were obtained between bushels per acre and stem solidness in a Thatcher 6 ✕ Rescue cross. Lignin content of selections in 1962 was not associated with stem solidness, percent sawfly tunneling, or percent sawfly cutting.
