Synopsis Daily morphologic changes in plants were visually detected and recorded quantitatively. Changes in leaf form were used to determine the relative influences of environmental factors on plant growth. The lag in effect of each environmental factor was used in subsequent multiple regression analyses, responses to individual factors were determined, and a growth‐prediction equation was made.
