Synopsis In 7 trials, tendencies for only slight differential varietal response to N (V ✕ N interaction) were noted. The significant interaction for yield noted in 2 trials was attributed to Ottawa's being more responsive to N and Bison less responsive than the other varieties tested. Disease resistance was believed to be an important factor affecting response to applied N.
