Synopsis The chlorophyll content is expressed as mg. per dm. 2 of land and this is termed a chlorophyll index (CI). The CI correlates with visual turf ratings, responds to fertilizer, but when nitrogen levels are adequate it is little responsive to mowing, irrigation, or shading practices.
