Synopsis The methodology for obtaining effect coefficients relating soil test units to fertilizer units from a multiple regression equation involving soil and fertilizer variables is presented. The developed procedures are empirically applied to a dry matter oat yield equation obtained from a greenhouse experiment involving soil and fertilizer N and P variables.
