Synopsis Yields from plots receiving 75% nitrogen as urea‐formaldehyde and 25% as urea compared favorably to those from plots receiving urea, (NH 4 ) 2 SO 4 , or NH 4 NO 3 . Use of urea‐formaldehyde resulted in more uniform seasonal distribution of yield and greater residual effect but caused lower nitrogen content and percent nitrogen recovery in the forage.
