Synopsis A review of stocking rate studies revealed in most cases a significant negative correlation between stocking rate and gain per animal. An experimental design for grazing trials is suggested which utilizes three or more stocking rates per pasture treatment. Replications are not required. Statistical analysis is accomplished with covariance analysis.
