Synopsis Birdsfoot trefoil yields obtained on 20 Indiana soils in a greenhouse experiment were significantly correlated with soil phosphorus test (0.75 N HCl extractable) and soil aggregation index. The positive correlation between yield and percent organic matter closely approached significance. Multiple correlation involving all three factors accounted for 58% of the yield variation between soil types.
