Synopsis Changes in amounts of nitrogen, total sugars, starch, and acid hydrolyzable carbohydrates followed closely changes in dry weight of Combine Kafir‐60 sorghum caryopses harvested at 3‐day intervals after pollination. Diastatic activity was closely associated with percentage germination.
