Synopsis The nicotine contents of the leaves of the last four primings (harvests) from mammoth selections of flue‐cured tobacco were much lower than those of leaves of comparable stalk positions from standard varieties. There was little evidence of a marked dilution of reducing sugars in the cured leaves of the mammoth selections.
