Synopsis Rabbits consumed more fine‐stemmed sericea than coarse‐stemmed. The fine contained more total digestible nutrients, crude fiber, and nitrogen‐free extract than the coarse and the digestibility of these constituents was greater in the fine‐stemmed forage. The coarse‐stemmed type contained more ash and the digestibility of this constituent was higher than in the fine‐stemmed. There was no difference indicated in digestibility of the crude protein and cellulose in the two diets.
