Synopsis The resistance of Cimarron and Blackhull was dominant to the shatter susceptibility of Wichita. Blackhull and Wichita differed by at least two major factor pairs while multigenic differences existed between Cimarron and Wichita. Heritability estimates are presented. A correlation of .66 was obtained between field and laboratory shattering determinations.
