Synopsis A new strain of high amylose was found to be nonallelic with the previously repotted ha strain. The F 3 segregates of a cross between the two strains gave amylose contents ranging from 25.4 to 70.3%. Modifying factors for amylose content apparently exist in some normal dent corn lines.
