A experirnent to study the effect of fertilization on the yield of cotton, corn, and oats grown in rotation on a Lufkin fine sandy loam at College Station, Texas, was started by the Division of Agronomy of the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station in ~927. After 8 years, it seemed desirable to determine what differences the continued fertilization over the 8-year period had brought about in the composition of the soil of the plats differently treated. Results of the study are reported in this paper.
