There has been much experimental work reported showing results with sweet clover as a legume for use in soil improvement. Considerable data were reported by Willard ~ upon the composition of sweet clover at various stages of growth. Others have contributed to this and other phases of sweet clover investigation. The present study was begun with a view to determine the influence of certain soil treatments upon the content of dry matter, nitrogen, ’phosphorus, and potassium of roots and tops of common sweet ...cl6yer (Melilotus alba) at various stages of its development.
