In the context of the modernisation of the Suez Canal, I considered important to conduct a study regarding the evolution of goods transport through the Suez Canal. This paper presents a comparative analysis in termes of new technical specifications and rules of sailing, as well as the evolution of maritime traffic, Net Tonnages and the decreasing of shipping routes.
