Volume graphics research involves "re-inventing" computer graphics for volumes and it is applicable to the majority of computer graphics applications. Many applications will be impacted by volume graphics. These include, but not limited to, flight simulations, mission planning, biomedical, environment, industrial and CAD applications. This paper presents a new representation scheme for freeform surfaces it is possible to combine basic surface and perturbation functions. Terrain is represented for the base of scalar perturbation functions.
