The purpose of scientific research is to investigate the epistolary legacy of Lesya Ukrainka, to find out the set of journalistic excitements in the texts presented in the full academic 14-volume edition. It isdetermined that most of the topics considered by Lesya Ukrainka in the letters encouraged the addressees to think, activate knowledge, beliefs, actions, as well as stimulate reflections on the national identity ofUkrainians, the role of literature and language in the formation of the Ukrainian state. The many human feelings aroused by the journalist’s epistolary are outlined – emotions of tenderness, love, sincerity, anger,sense of duty, respect, civic dignity, etc.
