AbstrakThe contract of work (Kontrak Karya Pertambangan) is a contract betweengovernment and mining company which becomes legal consideration to thecompany to conducting mining business in Indonesia. In the structure ofcooperation the government being the principal and the mining companybecomes the contractor. Based on the contract have arranged stipulationsthat govern right and obligation of the contractor also such incentives that'sgiven by the government to perform their business. From the perspectives ofMining Law (Law Number 11 year 1967) basically entire minerals aresupervised by the state and under the law has stipulated that the Minister (ofMining and Mineral Resources) authorized to invite third party becomescontractor for cannot any exclusively exploration works.
