Thealgorithmofformation,embeddingandextractingofdigitalwatermarksusingdiscretechaoticmapsisconsidered.Thekeyfeatureofthedevelopedalgorithmistheformationofthewatermarkusingthediscretechaoticmapandtherestorationofthiswatermarkaftertheimagetransmissionviathecommunicationchannel.Thisispossiblethroughtheuseofthedevelopedmethodthatsearchesforinitialvaluesofdiscretechaoticmapvariablesusedintheformationofthewatermark.Thealgorithmtestingre sultsaregiven.Itisestablishedthattheproposedalgorithmisabletoidentifythemodifiedimageareas.ThealgorithmisresistanttoimageconversioninJPEGformatandtodistortionupto14% of the image pixel values due to the presence of noise. Thus, the proposed algorithm can be used to solve real problems of the defense of digital images transmitted by communication channels.
