The new specifications include special training in sanitation for health officers, for which training the degree of M. D., although desirable, is not a satisfactory substitute. These authors advocate the incorporation of the principle in National, State and Municipal laws. A Sanitary Corps on this plan would be a desirable addition to the Army of the country.
