The optimal therapeutic strategy in locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) primarily treated by surgery remains unknown. This study was designed to evaluate the impact of postoperative chemoradiotherapy and postoperative sequential chemoradiotherapy on survival in this population.
