Although the available tissue culture media has nutrients contain, but for the growth of onion plantlets required additional nutrients such as y east extract . Yeast extract contained enzyme, amino acids and vitamin needed by plant growth. The r esearch aimed to study the effect of yeast extract on garlic plantlet growth in tissue culture . The use of yeast extract in tissue culture with MS medium for garlic explants does not increase the growth plantlet.
