O presente artigo faz uma leitura kairológica do complexo relacionamento entre catequese e família, na atualidade. Partindo da análise dos valores e problemáticas familiares atuais e de duas convicções basilares do Magistério católico: 1) a família é educadora; e 2) é transmissora da fé. Apontará na direção de uma catequese para e com a família que a valorize e a constitua como “lugar primeiro” da transmissão da fé. Uma fé de caráter mais testemunhal do que intelectual. ABSTRACT: This present article performs a kairological interpretation on the complex relationship between catechism and the family in our current situation. Starting from an analysis of the values and actual problems faced by families as well as from two basic convictions from the Catholic magisterium: 1) the Family educates; and 2) the family transmit faith. This study will point out a possible direction of a catechism for and with the family that values and constitutes it as the “Prst place” of the transmission of faith. A faith that is more witness than intellectual in character.
