Perioperative period in surgery of a burn scarring stenosis of the esophagus

Overall and treated 27 patients aged 41 to 66 with burn scarring strictures of the esophagus. All the patients were divided into 2 groups: 1-st group consisted of 17 patients, who in perioperative period recieved enteral feeding by the jejunostomy in clinic modification; 2-nd group (n=10) had total parenteral nutrition. The resalts of investigation indicated that enteral feeding by the areflux jejunostomy possesses all advantages of parenteral nutrition, reduces number of complications, cuts the time of hospital stay.
