Bone metabolism at diffuse-toxic goiter (DTG) ahs been analyzed, and diagnostic significance of revealed disorders has been assessed. The results of investigation of 40 patients aged from 18 to 45 indicate that bone resorption at DTG proceeds faster than bone formation, and this leads to demineralization of the bone tissue. The effect of sex and thyrotoxicosis duration on the bone density is proved.
