The program of Bacteriology and Clinical Laboratory of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Santander UDES this year celebrates its 20 years of operation, consolidating itself as one of the flagship programs of the University and the region. This conjuncture allows us to stop along the way and reflect on the journey from its beginnings to the present regarding advances in research. During this time, the effort and dedication of research professors, students, and graduates; as well as the support of the executives, and financing entities in partnership and cooperation have allowed to consolidate the research and to dimension it as one of the driving axes for the scientific advance.
